If the Andrew is one I know, I am sure much research had been undertaken before entering the music store. Surely the store selected was one that stocked certain brands that Andrew already knew had the characteristics and quality he was seeking.

Then the choice was which of the acceptable quality guitars had the “add-ons” that he required?

When I bought my guitar I went into the local music store and looked for an acoustic guitar with a built-in pre-amp so I could easily hook it up to a sound system. When I found one with a built-in tuner I knew I had to have it.
